Can Peake Code Reader reset airbag light also?

Hi, so recently, my bmw sprung up a SES light :<. Brought it to autozone cause i remember reading on the forum that they do free code reads. Only to find out that my "great" state of California made a law that banned lending code readers... wtf

So here i am looking for a code reader. I am looking at R5/FCX-3-16, but on peake's website they show another one of their product R5/SRS that does airbag light resets. Can the R5/FCX-3-16 reset airbag light too? Since i have the airbag light and would be nice if that can be reseted as well. Or is that light going to have to stay as i'm not forking over 120 dollars for a tool that only can reset the airbag light...

Is there something actually wrong with your SRS? If so, even if you clear the code it will come back almost immediately. Try the BMW scanner otherwise.

About the SRS(airbag light), i was cleaning under the front passenger seat, and i disconnected the cable to the little box for some reason, i forgot probably so i can clean better or something, and i apparently also didnt disconnect the battery in doing so... Reconnected cable and light is there :<. But it wouldn't hurt if that reader can also display SRS codes also if maybe a new code registered between the light first came on and now.

Also about the SES light, can me putting in regular 87 gas cause SES light? I have always been using 91 premium, but i let my parents borrow my car, and they also filled up gas for me.. With regular 87..

No. Mutually exclusive; you do need an R5/SRS to scan and clear airbag codes.

* I'm pretty sure you're in the Bay Area but if you're close to LA you can use my Peake SRS

You can run your car with 87 for the life of the car with no problems.
