Hmmm....looking at your route more closely I just realised you're turning off the Snowy Mountains Hwy at Kiandra and heading up towards Selwyn but turning to Cabramurra (Australia's Highest town). This means you miss the glorious stretch of Snowy Mountains Hwy between Kiandra and Talbingo.

How about this. Go back to your original map and add in a trip down to Talbingo and then back track back up again. Shouldn't take more than hmm 1.5 hours to go down to the bottom, have a pit stop at the town and then come back up again and then turn off at Kiandra towards Cabramurra. Time varies depending on how heavy your right foot is. This road is VERY quiet at this time of year.

The road you're taking from Cabramurra to the Alpine way is closed in winter but will be open now and will be lots of fun with the snow mostly melted. You will even drive across the top of a very large concrete parabolic dam called Tooma Dam.

Fuel will be your fun thing. You can get premium in Cooma, not sure about Adaminaby. There is fuel in Cabramurra (regular unleaded only last I checked - prepay at the general store). Otherwise you need to get from Cooma and back to Jindy on a single tank. If you get short you could always pop across the border and get premium at Corryong in Victoria and then head back up the Alpine Way to Jindy. Given the distances involved, that would probably be a safe bet.

Day 1 would be a full on day but well worth it. The rest of the trip would be less time intensive.
