330i automatic gearbox on 325i
Hi guys,
A friend of mine has 325i M54B25 but his automatic transmission has failed. I have a spare automatic gearbox in perfect condition from 330i. Is it possible just to replace the gearbox with torque converter without any trouble and fault codes? As I can see the control units are the same and maybe the gearbox internals are the same just the torque converter of 330i is stronger. Any ideas? |

The 330xi and 325xi has a GM transmission, the 330i and 325i has a ZF.
Software would have to be replaced. The 330 is longer gears. Just an update with WinKFP. |

Both cars are rear wheel drive with ZF transmissions. So do you think that 330 gearbox can be fitted? I also have the transmission control unit...
