how is image quality from the camera working for you guys? people on facebook are saying omg the camera is awesome!!1 but im skeptical. pleased with image quality?

The camera is really really really good

I did manage to take a bad picture last night, I didn't let it focus and it turned out grainy, my fault though

like, wow, you seriously suck asshole with cameras. Stop using them.

The camera is quite good, it's probably on par with lower level cameras for general image quality, but with much better processing and low light performance- due to the processing mostly.

i have a question that i didnt think warranted an entire thread, so im just gonna put it here:
i just found out that everyone on my family plan (we're about a year into a two-year plan) is eligible for an early upgrade, which means i can buy an iphone 5 for $200 off the full retail, no contract price ($600). i think i want to take advantage of this as xmas gifts for my dad and brother. is there any sort of catch to this that i should know about (i.e. costing me some sort of upgrade/perk in the future or forcing a contract renewal), or is it as simple as plunking down about $400 for an iphone 5?

Which carrier? I paid $200 for mine through Sprint. No catch, BUT they may require that you renew your contract. No skin off of your back if you have no plans to leave.

i'm on att. i have no plans to leave, but it'd be nice to have the option in a year when my contract expires. i'm going to give att a call and confirm tomorrow

If you upgrade, whichever line you upgrade will have a two year contract renewal.

Yes, but only for certain devices. The iPhone5 isn't one of them.

I got insane battery life yesterday haha.

Over 10 hours of usage and 25 on standby ... idk if they fixed the problem but thats the best ever. Went to bed and did even throw my phone on the charger, still had 10% left.

we talked plenty about cases... what about holders.
What do y'all use in the car? Looking to use iPhone as a GPS unit.

There were plenty of fully loaded/bloated BMWs in the showroom. I guess they do that for people like you.
I custom ordered mine with only the options that I want and waited 3 months for it.
I would even have deleted the sunroof, if that was possible.

You can delete the moonroof. I've never opted for a moonroof on any M3 that I've owned.....E46, E90 or E92.
