I would have done both myself if I hadn't bought the car 48 hours before

As it was they said they'd pay for the alternator and then when the shop looked at it they found the leak. Would have made no sense to not have them fix the gasket when the alternator was already off the car.

Ha, I test drove that car about a month ago. Ended up buying an M3 from a dealer in Wisconsin that had a bad alernator. You might want to keep an eye on that small rust spot on the RR fender.

It's being fixed at the body shop right now, along with the spot in the passenger door sill.

Notice anything else wrong with my car?

Nope. I almost missed that spot so I just wanted to make sure you knew before the road salt hits.

I negotiated about 900 bucks off the price to pay for that. Now if only I had gotten the alternator tested...

Same here. Picked it up in Milwaukee but only made as far as Kenosha and had to stick around for two days to get it fixed.
