Whirring engine noise [video inside]

Went for a little drive today in my '03 325, and as I was heading home I noticed a strange noise coming from my engine that I've never heard before. I just got it serviced not too long ago and apparently everything was fine. Have I just never heard this before or do you think something is wrong?

Car has approx 175000kms.

Its the disa valve. The rpm drop is normal.

Try this. the noise should go away.

Yep, that's it. Just ordered a new one. The butterfly valve flap thing was loose and was causing the rattle. Thanks very much, mate.

If you ordered one from any dealership, keep your receipt for when that fvcker dies again in 1.5 years. 2 year warranty FTW!
