Every time I've posted there, I thought, "man, if I said what I'd say here, people would think me weird." Makes me feel uncomfortable.

Here, with you guys, it's so easy for me not to care what you think!

I'm afraid to look. jfoj, does it sound like him?

Since you discovered him, maybe it's really you? I think you sort of started posting more around the time he left. Are you GN after having increased your medications' dosages or something?

I gotta agree with you about BimmerForums. It is like visiting your grandparents house when you were a kid. It is still a house, and has all of the basic stuff your home has, but you knew you could not be yourself there, because even your parents were acting weird.
So, on BF, there is this air of propriety, and a feeling that everyone has their fake polite mask on, that you definitely don't get here. So, while you may mix it up here once in a while, that just feels normal, like any group of (mostly) guys. Except for dmax and those damn Beagles, which would be annoying on any forum, things are ok here, once you get used to it.
But BF is just off. I have seen posts where people start off by saying "I hope this is not the wrong forum. If so, mods let me know and I will move it". Seriously? Who does that?
As far as GN is concerned, I can only explain his posts this way - We went to a friends house one day, and they have a 2 year old child. One of the child's grandparents thought it would be cute to buy the child some slippers with soles that we're like a dogs squeaky toy. And for some insane reason, the parents thought it would be cute to let the child wear them the entire visit! Every single step he took let out a loud, high pitched squeak. Through all of this, his parents are trying to talk to us as if this is somehow a normal conversation. But all I hear is Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!
Do you know how many steps a 2 year old can take in 30 minutes? I do. It's 2947. I was ready to jam my car key in my ear drum.
Reading GN's posts was quite a lot like that. Just when you think it may stop, and he has said all of the stupid, annoying things he can possibly say, here comes another Squeak! And it's that one squeak too many, and you just have to say something to stop the flow of ignorance.
I wish him well in his new home. But, I am afraid they are just too polite to give him the arguement he is looking for. No troll food over there.
