Are you not even allowed to keep one in your home in NYC?

In Florida, any non-felon can keep one in their glovebox.
it's allowed but the hassle of owning one and getting one is just not worth it , or maybe i don't want one bad enough. i don't know what makes nyc so special.

lol, GL with that

The people that have prepared are MUCH better prepared for defense than you. And the people that are ready to take have much less to lose.

Gas is a tricky one. It's hard to store for long periods of time due to stability and safety and if you live in say an apartment.

But yes.... EVERYONE had weeks of notice of this storm. I went out and bought gas in preparation beforehand. When gas stations in my area closed on Wed, I was at home with my family instead of standing in line for 5 gallons

I have about 100 gallons on hand right now. 60 in tanks/40 in vehicles.
I'll top off my equipment, sell, store or give away the rest.

Propane is the good choice. That stores pretty much forever

Wow thanks, thats mighty kind of you. Good to know some good people like you are out there.
I ended up buying from a guy on craigslist. Worked out good, got gas in my tank now I gotta trek out to Fort Lee to buy some more gas.
I was debating if going to CT would be better. I would save on GWB tolls.

Can my family come to your place if Bend goes to hell (I couldn't go too long without beef)? I can bring about 2 to 3 weeks of dry/canned goods, plenty of booze, small arms, and a ping pong table...
