Woah, hold on, Congress passed it too, and the Supreme Court found it constitutional. Secondly, the will of the American people just re-elected Obama.

It barely passed congress, and just because they re-elected Obama doesn't mean that they all of a sudden want Obamacare.

It still was passed, even if barely.

If the Bears barely win the Superbowl, they still won the superbowl. There were many others involved in the health care reform, not just the will of one man.

So what? The fact still remains that it is the govt's fault these people are losing their jobs, not the business owners. I am sick and tired every time I turn around there is a new tax on something. Why the hell they can't figure out a way to operate within some sort of a budget is beyond me. You guys always want to talk about the greed of the business owners when the greed of our govt far outstrips theirs by a long shot!

When have I ever talked about the greed of business owners?

This has been the business environment forever.....some new regulation, some new hoop to jump through, and businesses have done just fine. They will adjust to this, too.

This isn't a stupid football game, this is about killing the ability of job providers to be able to continue to show some sort of profit so that they can continue to employ people. Guys, this happens every time. When the govt tries to flex their muscles and force unreasonable mandates on business, then the business owners figure out a way to avoid the mandate. Translation? The little guy gets screwed while the business owner protects his bottom line.

You missed the point. Passing by 1 vote or passing by 100 doesn't make the law any more or less legitimate.

This isn't going to be the end of America, or the "free market". Some employers will lay people off, while others will hire. Some business owners will lay people off/reduce hours because they legitimately can't afford it, while others will do so because they have an axe to grind and want to make some kind of point.

That local guy who you all wanted to starve in the streets. - Yep, I said it.

Wait till it gets worse. Wait until many stores and chains do this. Are you never going to buy groceries? Are you never going to shop at any stores for items you need/want? What if Amazon cut warehouse hours because of this. Never shop at amazon?

I can't wait to see the reaction of the country, when the majority of businesses start doing this. It will be a hilarious ride for everyone.
Amazon would be tough.

The reality is that some will cut workers & whine and some businesses won't.
The ones that don't, will get my business. I am more than happy to play economic games right along with them.
The ones that don't have a built in marketing plan for slightly higher prices. (And if they are smart they can actually make more profit out of it. If your cost is 14 cents per pizza and you increase by 25 cents and market that you want to keep your employees and keep people in America working, you might even increase your profit that extra 11 cents per pizza. )

Yup, that's right. The point is that our govt is getting out of control and they think they have the right to institute any piece of legislation they want to. They have to start realizing that they work for us, not the other way around.

I've always been curious as to what has changed between now and the mid-90's when the Republicans proposed legislation that the current health care reform is based off of. They must have thought it was a good idea then, now it's the tipping out towards the decline of the states.

The country elected Obama after he told them he would implement Obamacare. Then he did so. Then the county re-elected him. Pretty sure the government is doing what the people want it to do.

That is definitely a matter of opinion

Papa Johns CEO just wanted an excuse to reduce the hours of his employees and this was the perfect time to do so.

This is why I use the power of my dollars to make other businesses successful.

I'll never spend another dime at walmart or PJ's . If the pvssy in Vegas ever comes out of the closet, I'll boycott his business too.

I love a good old-fashioned American success story, and I'll help build another one every time some corporate douche decides to act like a douche.

I'm with you here 330iPilot. Why the hell didn't Obama keep up the status quo of kicking the healthcare can down the road? WHY?!?!?! Businessmen will have to let people go so they can afford things most people couldn't even dream of owning! I'm so angry for those greedy bastards.
