if you want to add the memory function you will have to wire the k-bus (it's the wire dedicated to the memory).

@ elfer

If you look at this pic, the seat belt bracket is not attached to the seat rail, looks to be attached to the seat frame itself...

Yes, as far as I know you only need the rails if you want to keep your leather. Other options include changing over the leather covers which is time consuming but can be done.

As far as your other question below, no, you cannot add memory to the passenger seat, the programming is not there as far as I know.

i have a 325i sedan with manual seats. i just bought some m3 seats with power and memory. ive purchased everything i need from the OP. But for the fusebox i got :

61 13 8 377 731 for the fusebox (they ran out of 731 so i got 732)
61 13 1 387 144 for the K-bus

i got ONE of EACH. is this enough for me to start my job ? do i need more than 1 or anything else for the fusebox? thanks in advance!

I just found some leather, power, heated, lumbar seats out of ZHP that I'm going to install in my 2003 330ci with manual heated seats. To make the wiring easier, there must be somewhere close to the seats you can tap power from, then just solder in an inline fuse under both seats. Anyone know of a good power source?? I don't care about the memory, just need a power source for the seats to operate.

Other option is to just order the stock harness right from BMW. I found a diagram on realoem, but it's hard to tell if it includes everything right back to the fuse box??
