Will E39 M5 Style 65 wheels fit on an E46 Coupe?

I have a 2002 330Ci on stock suspension, what are the chances of a style 65 wheel set fitting on the car?

BMW E39 M5 Front Wheel Size (metric):45.7 x 20.3 cm / 18.0 x 8.0 in
BMW E39 M5 Rear Wheel Size (imperial): 45.7 x 24.1 cm / 18.0 x 9.5 in

The offsets that come on the E39 chassis are all going to be low offsets which is not proper for the E46 chassis cars. Your going to want a wheel which is mid to high offsets in order to properly fit on the E46 without causing any rubbing or clearance issues. If you want to stick with something OEM, i would consider the M5 style wheel or perhaps the M6 Style Wheels.

So what offset range am I looking for and if it isn't in that range is it a deal breaker? Or can spacers help? For example I thought of running style 67 18s but the front offset is 47 and 8 inches wide, rear is 26 and 9 inches wide.
