I know that the chasis design is far superior than the e46, which will show major dividends on track. From the people I've spoken with that not only have owned both the e46 and e92 but also tracked them both heavily have said that they love the e92. It is heavier but I will drive around that.

I'm hoping to have a track car that I can daily, atleast for a while. I'm sure that in a couple years I will buy another daily and go full retard with this one as well. I plan to keep it streetable though, always.

Well its just a "feeler"... I posted it and have gotten a couple bites. One guy out of Cali is really interested and getting back to me soon right after Thanksgiving about possibly coming to look at it.

Im still not 100% though... Im not going to budge on the price as it sits. Might be willing to part some items, but not sure. If it doesnt sell.. thats ok with me... Either ESS 550 kit or Daytona 675R

I don't understand side exhausts. Looks cool, but makes the cabin much hotter, louder, and probably makes less power.

The length of the exhaust pipe is actually important.

Amen, I was trying to put together why the 5.0 would be better around the track. You can tweak the drive train/diff ratio to be better. The s65 only revs higher, the rest is trash.

Haha, yea I guess 1000 usable rpm is a bit different than a screaming BMW!

Yeah, that's why they run them in ALMS, DTM, F1, they don't make power.

Dont side pipes have a sort of scavenging affect at speed? There is a similiar design/idea to the crankcase vent on my deuce, it is routed down by the oil pan so that at speed, the air flowing by helps scavenge.

I think he was referring to the E39 M5's ~5.0L
