I never heard of it till this past summer when I saw two guys swimming with full packs and axes in lake Michigan and asked them wtf they were doing. I read up on it alot after the June Tough Mudder wanted to do it. When I heard about the drop out rate and people being up so long they start loosing they're minds and talking to trees I was hooked. Plus my work paid for the entry so why not.

Good to see alot of people doing these type of events. I was thinking about doing the Spartan race in Illinois this weekend but dont want to get injured with what I've invested into WTM. I think me and my brother are doing a GORUCK challenge in March or April. He qualified for WTM too, but has no interest in doing it.

Update-
My companies owner hooked me up with some contacts for the local news. I have a reporter coming into the office to do a story about the company and I. We have a few people that do TM's here plus some ultra runners, Ironmen, etc. Last edited by RossGuy; 11-14-2012 at 10:54 AM. |

Also leaving tomorrow for New Jersey. I had two people back out last minute so if anyone wants to come with PM me. Leaving tomorrow from Chicago with a friend, have hotel, rental etc, will be back sometime Monday. Just pitch in for gas, driving, and whatever else. Must be ok with offnsive language, open containers, fireworks, mud, and whores. Think of it as a weekend with the chive and Griffin.

If I was on the east coast I'd be up for this adventure 100%.Best of luck w/ all this man, been reading through this thread and updates regularly. Thinking about picking up a 2013 season pass for Tough Mudder as I have had friends tell me to come visit and given Idaho doesn't have any events I figure I could combine weekends and do one of these each time I take a trip.

Thanks!
If anyone wants to come out they say with a headband it's free spectator entry. Oh, no F-ing ipods or pm3 players in the pit area? WTF is that about. http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=0018YKxv...VyaiYUGhN0fV8= I might pick up a season pass as well. I want to do one just for fun besides training and going full throttle everytime. Like wear a buisness suit and slam a 30pk before the start. Last edited by RossGuy; 11-14-2012 at 11:25 AM. |

for me personally, it doesnt. generally it is though. it will probably be tough as hell. walking through cold ass mud and water that will ultimately weigh you down significantly.
good luck dude.

Can my compression apparel company sponsor you with some free gear? Or are you already out there?
