IRS is part of it. The other is the way the power is delivered.. its not linear.. its nothing.. nothing then wham.. boost comes on violently..

I'm sure if I put some fresh sticky 10.5" slicks on 16"s or 15"s I'd have to problem..

I also make significantly more torque than most of the Race/Meth HPF cars. iirc I'm putting down almost 200rwtq more than a comparable Stage 2.75/3 and only 100rwhp more. Gotta love E85! However its all moot if you can't put it down.

I think Kenton beat drew or tied. ESS-675 , I raced drew and he jumped me (wasn't a serious race) and his car was impressively fast. Kept a few car lengths on me up to 155.

Mike raced drew and I think won on a fair start...I raced Mike and was a bundle of car lengths ahead. Drew is a cool cat...when he doesn't jump Marcus off the roll lol.

I've seen several guys mention the 155 limiter. Maybe I have the concept misunderstood, but I thought you can bypass the limiter as long as you pass 155 mph in 5th and then shift to 6th.

I was under this impression as well, however its not true.. Both Kenton and I hit the limiters in 5th and 6th.

Weird... I've tried this before and I have gone past 155 mph. Is it something that has to due with you guys being turbo?

^^^ your speedo might be a little happy with the speed it's showing. I.e. to fast for actual speed your going.

Tire height combined with the bmw factory speedo being off by as much as 7% at 155mph. I put 295/35's on and hit 166 one run. Kenton was hitting 160 on his tires. Mine flat line (via vbox and wheel speed data) at 155MPH.

I myself and other guys have gotten our NA cars to speeds of 170 or slightly higher. So that means, I am really only going 155? Because 7% of 175 isn't 155.

Is that on stock tires? I once did 170mph in my e36 m3, but I know it wasn't really 170 my speedo had to have been way off.

235/265s. Maybe it is a larger error percentage than 7%.

So your car would hit 155, and the speedometer wouldn't go any further in 5th?

Is that on 18's or 19's? My speedo would read like 165 or so but VBOX and wheel speed sensors would read 155.. and not 'around 155' literally a perfectly flat line at 155.. and that was in 5th.

Won't do it in mine either. Ask me how I know.
