Hi everyone:

I'm a new E46Fanatics member. But, I'm also a really old guy: I'll be 88 in January, 2013. Notwithstanding, I've had 11 BMWs, starting with a 1600, a couple of 2002s, a bunch of 3 series, a couple of sixers, and, finally, the current '03 E46 coupe.

That last one I picked up recently from a re-cycler. It needed some body work and other fiddley stuff.

It also sported the familiar non-working passenger handle Searching the site got me several excellent postings, with pics. They took me through the customary fix: a couple of zip ties on the inner handle bracket. It took many hours. But, now that offside door works fine.

I'm deeply grateful to the posters who put up those workarounds.
