Blahhhh I can't stand those things. What kind did you get? I've only had the Powerbar ones. I stick to the Gel Blocks for some quick energy and refueling.

Got a few brands like clif, GU, etc. Got some pedialite, some MRE's, fruit cups.....

What are you wearing for the event. I read that the winner last year had 3 fookin wetsuits on, and still was fighting off hypothermia.

I look very forward to your updates and details on this event.

A wetsuit. That's incorrect. He had a 1/2mm suit or something and cut the arms off another one he found in the trash. His gear and review are on the last page or two. I have a excel 4/3mm suit with neoprene hood, socks, gloves, short. I have some long and short compression tops and tri shorts. I'm set.

Good luck Rossguy. I'm excited for you and can't wait to hear about the event. It looks like the weather will be more favorable than last year, not that it will be easy.

What's the mileage? Between 8 and 9miles per lap? If you get a chance can you send a close up picture of the obstacle list. It will be fun for us former Mudders to look at and gauge what you're about to encounter.

Thanks! I can't wait to pull out the jackhammer on this course tomorrow. I'll try to upload a better course map in a bit. Just got done registering and setting up my tent. Weather started dropping and gave me a taste of how cold it will be.

Just quit after only two laps. Dislocated my knee cap on the first lap and kept going, and fell off rope do to my gloves sucking azz. Pure disappointment. I could of done another but I didn't want to break anything when I wasn't going to finish how I wanted to.

Wtf?

Yep. I was doing those over under logs and jacked my knee. I kept going and at the end of the second lap I was going down a road and missed my grip straight to my back from prob 10ft up. Complete waste of time.
