Corner Light Doesn't Work
I changed the bulbs and it still won't work. Checked the wires and everything is ok. It works sometimes but not all the time. It's the driver side one if that matters. What do I do now?

Should I switch the housings and see if that'll fix it?

Sometimes corrosion gets on the contact behind the bulb or it gets pushed in too far to make good contact. My old E46 had that problem. Hit it with a little sandpaper and electronics cleaner and bent it forward a little bit and that fixed it for me.

Another thing to check it the white socket housing that holds the bulb.
That unit is replaceable (no cutting or splicing), you can swop out that unit with the passenger side and see if the problems transfers/follows. If so, just get a new housing unit and you should be solid. I had it happen to me and that fixed that random problem. |
