i have both (nexus 7 and iphone 5).

i think iOS is more polished. the annoying thing i notice in android are apps. some work, some don't. most apps arent universally compatible to all devices compared to iOS.
the scrolling is a lot better in iOS a well. but android has the upper hand in customization. but if you want a device that simply does what you want, iOS is the way to go. each has their own pros and cons.

This is exactly how I feel. I use my Apple products every single day of my life, and in the end, I just want them to work correctly the first time. Apple products almost never let me down in this regard. Not to mention they also look great. These things together make the devices worth much more than the price premium Apple charges.

No problem here. Except my set up looks really ghetto now; my Dice wire is Firewire based with no charging support so I have a converter attached to supply power, and now on top of that I have the 30-pin to lightning adapter. At least all of this is hidden away in the center armrest.

battery seems worse with the second iphone 5.

I'm not debating, just separating fact from opinion. Facts are things such as sales and activation figures, not "pick iOS if you want a device that simply does what you want." And based on such facts, there are also quite a few people who disagree with such an opinion.

just curious have you actually used an iOS product? when i mean used, not borrowed from your co-worker and use for an hour. i mean, real world usage. like use it for a week?
