What to do if there's a little bit of anti seize compound on the tip of the O2 sensor bulb area.
Just got a new sensor yesterday and in checking it, I noticed a little bit of the compound on the bulb head. not much just a trace. Of course I wiped it off immediately. I was just wondering do i do anything else to it prior to installing or is it a case where the sensor is now ruined? Plan to install it within the hour! Thanks in advance

most come with anti sieze on the threads already. if a little got on the tip, I would just wipe it off with some cleaner, and let it dry.

The first one I ordered came in similar fashion and no problems.

I'm not too familiar with O2 sensors in the chemical sense. So I'm "fraid" to do that!

They are not that sensitive. Just wipe it with a clean cloth. You know how hot that thing is going to get?

Just realize the environment an O2 sensor is designed for. It withstands exhaust gas just out of the cylinder at 800F for hundreds of hours. Just clean it with some MAF cleaner or electrical contact cleaner then install it.
