I bought a new (additional) daily driver - Page 8

rebuilt head by Myster-e Performance, headers from IE, powder coated intake and valve cover

new waterpump, timing belt, engine belts, complete exhaust (new 1st section and cat - the old was crumbling apart), IE rear muffler section, rebuilt oil filter control valve, Miller MAF conversion, new plugs, wires, distributor, coil, crank position sensor, thermostat, all three coolent sensors and radiator

Car runs much better and feels/seems much quicker - still a slow automatic AWD

the idle is REALLY uneven - larger cam - sounds cool but makes car very shaky at stop light with automatic

Wow! Now that's what I call a daily driver

I'll be getting an X5 for my wife eventually but it will be just regular twinturbo 6 cylinder.

Maybe you haven't driven an x5m... It's like scary. It defies all rules of physics. When I drove it around a track it scared me so bad. The brakes are BRUTAL and the lack of body roll is just... Unexplainable. It could easily keep up with the best sports cars.

That was a sweet e30 though, you did very well with it (as we all knew you would)...

No, I haven't driven the x5m. But I'm pretty familiar with Stu's wagon.

not new unless they knock $10k off of a fully loaded $103k car

there are quite a few 2012s out there in the high 70s and lots in the 80s
