Why are you sending it to Canada?

You can align the components yourself with some simple coding. Mine will be getting tuned by Eurocharged. I have a connection and they will just align the two systems together with the new key I'm getting while they have the MS43 in their possession.

I thought the RPM motorsport in Canada was one of the few company that is able to flash a used DME with your exisiting EWS. ANyhow, I am glad you found a way around this. $400 is a ripped off.



I asked them how much does it cost to flash my MS42 323 tune to the 328 tune and they said $400 also.

Wow...I changed my 328 tune to an MS42 EU2 tune and cost me the gas to drive down to VA and meet up with New//M3Fan.

Aligning a used DME with a used EWS isn't trivial -- if you've got a connection that's great, but I personally don't know of anyone other than RPM Motorsports

Oh wait...I misread that, I bought a matched DME and EWS from an MS43 325i. Just getting it coded to my VIN.

mini update:

Just installed the MDCT shift knob. everything works and each of the indicator lights on the knob works correctly as planned. All I have to do is glue the leather together. the lights do not bleed over (I have a crappy camera phone) so everything looks better in person.

You should remove the Steptronic shift gate and just use a manual boot. It'd look much better with the new knob, IMHO.

it is from the e9x m3. The e60 m5 knob is similar but has less pins

Putting it in park would be normal. The only difference is that there is no "P" indicator on the shifter but I can always look at my dashboard.

The gear shifting on our transmission is all mechanical. Therefore, retrofit like this is very simple with the exception of trying trying to figure out the LED pin layout.

Wait...the only electronic gear shifting is manual upshift and downshift. Everything else is mechanical
