Question about unwanted OEM wheels.
I have a set of wheels that I took off both my X5 and my 323. I have had them posted for a while. On here and else where. So my next question is, since no one seems to be interested in them. I am wondering what kind of price one would expect to get from them if I were to sell them for scrap? Basically taking them to a scrap metal yard and selling them.
Here are the wheels as have been posted for some time now. If some one would like to make me an offer on them and pay shipping then I am all ears. 323 http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=952988 x5 http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=947859

Your price is beyond reasonable, and anyone who could use them would be getting one hell of a buy. That being said, it's a niche market for factory take offs, so it might take you a while to sell them.
If they were mine, I'd just stack them in a corner of the garage and cover them till a buyer comes along. Scrap goes for about $200 a ton and up for prepared. You would not fare well to scrap them. |

Put them on eBay and Craig's List.

I scrapped a 17x9 OEM BMW wheel (cracked beyond repair) a few days ago and yielded approx. $14.

I just bought wheels and put my stock style 68's on craigslist with decent rubber and sold them in a week for $500. Its always just a matter of the right buyer seeing your ad. I agree with everyone else, put them in your garage and keep renewing the craigslist ad..someone will eventually call you.
