Agree on checking another alternator. With remanufactured alternators, I think they have a high failure rate. I got a bad replacement from NAPA when my E46's went.

is it a 1uz....buy a miata and swap the motor....make sure and buy some ITBs

Goto lexus, have them diagnose the car for you
then tell your mechanic what to fix
