2006 330ci tire questions

Hi,
I just purchased a used 330ci, took to have a pre-purchase inspection, they noted that my driver side rear shock needed replaced, but did not mention the tire was worn on the inside down to the belts. My questions are.....
Could the shock be cause of the tire wear? The other three tires are wearing normal... Also noted, the car has 4 samesize tires, but specs say the fronts and rear tires are supposed to be different sizes.....how important is it to have different sizes, could this be part of problem? Also if anyone knows of repair shop/tireshop they trust in Houston(kingwood)? I'd appreciate recommendation
Thanks

Welcome to the site! Your 2006 330ci is an E46 chassis so I've moved your thread from the F30 chassis forum over to the E46Fanatics wheel and tire forum.

A worn shock would not cause that excessive tire wear, sound like you should replace both rear shocks, the shock mounts (they're a wear item) and then have the car aligned. What size tires are on the car? You can run the same size all around.

Can you post a picture of your car? The E93 is the 3 series convertible that did not come out until December of 2007.

You have an E46 with the ZHP package. Great looking car! What do you need help with exactly?

Thanks,
Do I "have" to put different size tires on front and back?
Currently it has same on all 4.... Driver side rear, worn to the belts, could being same size be part of reason? I do know I have to replace rear shocks, left leaking....

No, you do not have to. I believe in some configurations the E46 came with the same size tires all around. Having the same size tires all around would not cause a single tire to wear out, as I said that is likely an alignment problem. You didn't post the mileage but your rear trailing arm bushings could be bad.

blown shock can also cause premature tire wear.
