Hmmm might be time to go order a suppressor for my AR soon, sold a bunch of crap today I had laying around including 2000 rounds of 5.7 ammo that was worth a pretty penny.

Leaning towards either the AAC 7.62 SDN-6, Silencerco Saker when it comes out or YHM 7.62 Ti Can, YHM is by far the cheapest, but I absolutely hate their flash hider/mount. I might look into a surefire can as well.

Well, word is that they're going to make suppressors legal for all LE use here in Minnesota. Not for individual LEOs yet; or at least not that I am aware anyways. To facilitate this, the state would also allow Class III FFL dealers to possess suppressors specifically for sale (possession is currently a felony). If this passes, it's one step closer to full legalization of suppressors. We're one of only 6 states left in the US, so hopefully we get this changed soon.

So I'm really leaning towards a new surefire 556 socom rc can. I don't see myself buying a .308 or .300 blackout within a year so I think a dedicated 556 can will be my route right now. Anybody have experience or seen the new ones? Surefires mount system seems very solid and they are known for their minimal poi shift. It's on the expensive side msrp around $1350,hoping I can get it for under 1200. Buy once cry once I guess. I have also heard all good things about surefires muzzle brake except people next to you will hate you

I have heard excellent things about Surefire cans; people swear by them. When I started looking at cans, I looked at all sorts of manufacturers, but came down to 4: Gemtech, Surefire, Knights Armament, and Advanced Armament.

I moved Gemtech and Knights out of the way over time; Gemtech didn't have the mounts and setups I was looking for and while I think Knights produces a superior product overall, their prices are outrageous.

I ended up going AAC over Surefire when I weighed a bunch of things. I am happy that I went AAC, but I certainly wouldnt rule out grabbing a Surefire in the future.

As far as getting a dedicated 5.56 can...I did and though I don't regret it, I kinda wish I had gotten the 7.62 can from the beginning. I guess if you have no plans for 300 blackout really, it makes no difference, but if you do you should grab a compatible can from the start. Subsonic 300 blackout with a can will always be quieter than any 5.56 with a dedicated can. It's almost Hollywood quiet.

I will be getting a 7.62 can eventually, but i honestly don't see myself building a 300 blackout anytime soon. And i don't reload so until that ammo price comes down or i reload i don't see me getting one. I plan on having a large variety of cans one day. But the next couple years 556 will by far be getting the most use so I'm thinking a dedicated 556 is the best one first I'm really torn between the 762sdn and surefire socom 556 rc. If the socom is more then $200-300 more then the aac i might just go with the 762sdn6

Someone should get on this...it's worth every bit of that.

In fact, I may look at it as well. Where's it listed?

I went with.22 first for a couple reasons. It's cheap $375 for ss sparrow. It's absolutely stupid quiet, sounds like abb gun or paintball gun. I have a lot of hosts for it(bolt, m&p 15-22, 2 pistols and I'm going to build a 5" ar upper for it). It's really cheap to shoot and fun. Plus if you take new shooters to the range they will love it and a 5000 round case of subsonic.22(i use cci standard) is $250

I was quoted $499 out the door (less stamp cost). How did you manage $375?
