Is my clutch going?

Alright, someone give me good news! So about a week ago my clutch started acting a little funky, figuring it was just because of the cold start and my quick mile drive to school t[/URL]he car just wasn't being warmed up! Well now whenever I accelerate a little hard (not super hard or flooring it) if I just apply the throttle a tad more the RPM's shoot up! (Like I'm riding the clutch) but my foot is completely off. The RPM's gradually fall and then I feel the "catching of the clutch" feeling when the begin to drop! My 2002 330i is almost at 137,000 miles so I'm guessing my clutch is going

This is in 5th gear, barely touching the throttle.. I mean BARELY!

Well no good news tonight. Go ahead and order a new clutch. I suggest you order from pellicanparts.com and in the mean time be very easy on it. My clutch died at 140,xxx.. Shit sucks, sorry man..

One way to be 100% get to about 20 mph put it I'n 5/6th gear and floor it. In your case the RPMs will more than likely shoot up like you engaged the clutch is so that means the clutch is toast. If not then it's good for now, and you should check out the diff/ tranny. Good luck man.

Your clutch is a gonner. Dont let it slip like that if you want to use the same flywheel. You can find good deals, im in the process of having my clutch changed.

So far including install is 675. Shop around, get forum members to help. 2500 is BMW's price.

Doesn't mean its your price!
