My Ride: 99 323i 5spd
323i Need some help troubleshooting MAF issues

I have a 99 E46 323i 5speed. ABS light and SI light is on but no SES and there are no obd2 codes stored or showing up through generic scanner. The car will run but wants to stop accelerating after about 3k RPM in any gear and does the same thing after about 1/4 throttle. If I am easy on the gas pedal I can get it past 3k RPM. What I mean by stop accelerating is I have nothing almost like a rev limiter. However with the MAF wiring unplugged it runs very strong no limits. I checked the car via torque app last night. No codes but the MAF showed 0.0 till about 1/4 throttle. I am thinking my MAF needs replaced since the 0.0 reading and only jumps to around 1.3 at 1/4 throttle. Would love some input on this. Thank you guys!!
