Was bored out of my mind so I gave it an early oil change. Going nuts waiting for my rotors and pads to come in

I've got about 1k on mine and loving the lack of body roll, onramps and off ramps are a hoot.

I myself have installed custom oem mesh kidneys (still need tweaking) and sport steering wheel with cf lower And two tone wheel skins cover (kinda cheesy but not bad, ill get it actually re-wrapped at some point, or not).

Cf CSL trunk will take some fitment fingering... Measure 100 times, cut once, and pray!

Please explain this. I cannot navigate their site and when it asks for a wheel size - wtf are they wanting me to measure? What did you buy... Exactly.

Left side engine leaks tend to be the Valve Cover Gasket.

Right side leaks usually from Power Steering Reservoir, and corresponding hoses.

And/Or Oil Filter Housing Gasket.

Clean up the engine bay and inspect daily. I like to clean the plastic splash guard as well.

GL.

3am: I took it out for 100 mile drive in the canyons.

Thanks for the help.... i will try it as you said and make a picture of it. maybe that will make it more precise for you to tell where the leak is coming from........

Both Lemforder tie-rod assemblies came in yesterday. Will have them installed when I get time. Hopefully this will cure some of the play my steering has.

Please do. My poor Orient Blue paint job is covered in minor scratches, and honestly I don't really like buffing because I don't want to burn the paint. I've tried products like Scratch-X and NuFinish Scratch Doctor with poor results. I'm going to pay somebody to buff my car though.

I ran into the same issue on BavAuto site but figured wtf wheels were same size diameter took a chance and it fits very nicely (will take a pic and post soon). I think the only major difference is three spoke vs four, you lace it puny ourself and its kind of a fun mindless project.

I bought the cf wheel lower off of fanatic in classifieds (Aronmatic) He's in Hungary and makes them himself, very nice part for the money, had some minor tweaks to make it fit tight and may deassemble at some point to fiddle more but overall it's worked out pretty cool.

Gave my car a good wash. It got **** on twice by birds before I could finish...

Also I investigated my coolant. Turns out that the place I took it to for an alignment decided to top off my coolant (I was a bit low). They mixed in some green stuff with my BMW blue coolant. I didn't mind that. No big deal. I am pissed they didn't tell me, but oh well. What pisses me off is that they WAY overfilled it. The coolant level indicator was pinned to maximum by almost an inch of fluid above the float. I am almost 100% sure this caused my recent leak (that or they just spilled some when they filled it). It ran my ET at much higher pressure than normal. They could have caused my ET to blow up with this BS. I can't even trust a BMW shop to properly top off a fluid as a courtesy! Holy ****. Hell, I bet their plan was to blow my ET up so I have to come back later.
