Flip Key!!!
Is there a way to boost the transponder signal? I have a flip key case and the chip is too far away from the ignition. What you guys think?

Any way you can move the chip closer? Cut and re-solder or something?

Is there a way to increase the signal of the transponder chip so I can start my car with my new flip key?

Did you transplant the chip from an old key? Did you order a flip key with a proper chip that matches your EWS?

Yes, I tried using the circuit board from my last key, but I put it back into my old housing so I can drive the car.

I have to be careful with whatever I do, because I only have the one master key.

What is preventing you from ordering another one from the dealer?

If $ is preventing having 2 keys disassembling your one working key is pretty dumb.

Yep, one working key is foolish!!
$60 for a wallet key, you can harvest the transponder from inside the key head as it is more of an encapsulated transponder like the older keys with the LED. Or just mount the wallet key inside the steering column so the wallet key always registers on the EWS!
