Gotcha...I know I'm going to go down tha road sooner or later, but I'm still not sure which way I'll go or what length I'll choose. The can is in transfer though...hopefully I'll see that sometime around March.

Federal law requires that you transfer a firearm (non-Long gun) in the buyers home state. So you would have to take ownership of the firearm in NJ at an FFL and transfer it.
If you find a really good deal in PA, a PA FFL would transfer it to a NJ FFL and then to you.

This is for INTERstate transfers

Long guns can be purchased/transfers in either state. State laws need to be considered as well
