Looks great, does it feel the same after the dye?

Been thinking about doing this over the xmas break, think I'd prefer to find a pair of M3 front seats first though.

Thanks, yeah as long as you do the prep work correctly the leather absorbs the dye so it feels the same.

I was too impatient to wait for M3 seats, however if i get some down the track i still have plenty of dye left over to do them too!

Did you use that vinyl spray paint they sell at supercheap on the door panels? My black door trims are a bit faded and was wondering what the finish is like on the doors. Close to oem?

Nah mate i bought the dye and leather cleaner/oil/prepping agent from Leatherique.com. The dye they made me is an M colour cinnamon. They only have a few BMW colours listed on their site but if you e-mail them they have a lot more (eg. cinnamon). Sorry cant help you on the vinyl spray option

Cheers thanks for the quickl reply. So what did you use to stain the doors, the non-leather part that is. Did you dye your old door cards black or did you purchase black ones, dye your grey leather inserts cinnamon and then insert them into the new black trims. Thanks mate

I am a member of a number of car clubs/forums & have seen some recolours using vinyl spray & they have looked great & like anything it comes down to good prepwork. The only thing I don't know is how well it wears.
