really? Interesting. I was watching a E60 M5 video, and that car had no cats, and just dual resonators and was shooting flames.

If you really want flames just have straight headers and a way to see through the firewall. You get flames all the time for only a small proportion of hearing loss!!!!

Also, flames are only easy on carb'd cars

Cars with an ecu spitting flames is no bueno...better to have a propane set up

Rx7's are pretty prone to flames though with just a straight pipe

so get that

which part? Technically I guess you can do straight pipes on '75 an older since you don't have to worry about smog, but no matter what you have to deal with noise restrictions in certain cities. For example, Huntington Beach will ticket you for a loud exhaust even if it's stock

Nope.

You need a car with no-lift shifting built into the ECU, or a bad ECU tune. You also need an engine with enough power that it will put enough fuel into the exhaust in either of those situations.

But with older cars (pre-power steering, power locking) when you were driving down the freeway if you turned your car off (while going fast) for like 5-10 seconds and turned it on again you got a 6-8 flame out the exhaust

Super awesome to see, however it destroys exhaust/cats in a real hurry
