So I have a few questions for those experienced with Bilstein struts in particular. I am looking for OEM stiffness and feel but am wondering what the difference is between Bilstein "HD" and "Sport"? In pics that I have seen "HD" looks beefier than "Sport", but in description they say "Sport" is firmer and better handling. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks for replies. Joshua *Edit- Also trying to keep the price reasonable, not looking for a complete suspension setup and drop with new springs. I just want to do struts, shocks, and end links.

The valving is the same on the shocks. HDs are for use with stock/sport springs, Sports are for use with lowering springs.
For end links go Lemforder, Meyle or Febi. The first is the best. |

So being that we are ZHP suspension, are we just standard "sport" springs or lowered?

unless you have aftermarket lowering springs in your car, the HD's are the shock for you. the Sports are for cars that have been lowered via aftermarket springs by 1" or more. If you put sports on a non-lowered car they will die an early death.

the Bilstein Sports are just built for the shorter travel of a lowering spring while the HD aren't. So like they said above it's the same internal valving but made optimally for a shoter spring. Other thing is that Bilsteins have internal bumpstops incorporated while other companies have external bumpstops that one has to replace or cut if going lower.
