Those are the crappiest wipers I've ever used. They're so unaerodynamic that they were lifting off our Sequoias windshield at 45mph. And they chatter like crazy.

I'm using PIAA silicon sportaza or something like that. They're on their 2nd year and still streak and chatter free all the other cars have Bosch Icon which are good but they don't last that long.

Heh, yeah, I've seen people do fundraising for robots before. Usually doesn't turn out that good for some reason, but good luck to those highschoolers.

My E30 has been doing that ever since the wipers were sent to the paintshop.

But I don't drive it in the rain anyway, so meh.

One or more of the following:
-to keep your grubby mitts from gunking up the steering wheel
-to keep your grubby mitts comfortable when the wheel is too cold/hot
-to keep the skin from peeling off your grubby mitts because you don't have power steering in your large, heavy vehicle
-to maintain grip between your hot, sweaty little hands and the wheel

With the M3 wheel, hot and cold usually don't matter too much. The thin leather ones I have are pretty good at maintaining grip without making my hands sweaty. I also didn't want to ruin the finish on my Momo wheel in the E30, so I actually make good use of them.
