Anyone have a current opinion of Dan Martin's shop? Seems most of the comments are a couple of years old.

http://www.raimotorsport.com/ I take my M3, Audi A4, and parent's 325i to them. The M3 will going be going in soon for inspection 2 after they finish building my A4 big turbo motor.

the inspection 2 is just a over priced joke unless your doing a valve adjustment on a s54. a 60k I2 to bmw is oil, micro and air filters for non m cars. xi may get transfercase changed depending if the fault is present. then the dealer with sell you plugs, fuel filter and diff fluid, possible trans flush. m3 valve adj is easy but they get your for the shims. i am just giving you the dealers pov not sure how the indys do the inspections.

BMC automotive in Chantilly is great. Owned by a master BMW mechanic, great rates, and very friendly. Love that they will walk you through issues with the car on the lift.

BMC is really good at diagnosing complicated issues like convertible top faults.


RRT is the place to go for race prepping or mods.

Hey guys,

I want to get inspection 2 on my 04 LSB M3. I've read some good things about At Speed Motorsports in MD and Autoscandia in VA. I called both places and At Speed Motorsports quoted me $1300 plus additional $150 for valve adjusments and Autoscandia quoted me for $1450 as well. I've never used either one of the shops for any work. I'll appreciate it if you guys can help me out as to where I should take the car and where they'll actually take proper care of the car.

Yes sir I been a long road with problems but car about come out the shop. Waiting on water meth install with newer tune.

EurAsian in tysons corner did very good work on mine - restrung the vert for $200 which I think is a great price. Ex BMW dealer mechanic works on all BMW's.
