Theyre not bad. Buying from a breeders is a little more but adopting one from a shelter should be around 300 bucks or so. Give or take.
Im extremely excited! Lucky! Alaskan Klee kai's are so hard to find in this area!

adopt. You save 2 dogs. The one you rescue and the other who takes his place. You can find any type of dog in private or city shelters.

BTW, Anyone know how long the adoption process usually takes? I've heard from friends that it takes a while.

I know there's a shelter in Newark, (kinda hood) but I went there one time and they had puppies. It's 220 to adopt one, that covers the shots and what not.

Hope fur isn't a big deal to you, because it's going to be EVERYWHERE regardless of how much you vacuum. I own both a Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute.

Well I meant, you dont tend to find such expensive dogs in shelters. Id pay $300 over $3000 or whatever they cost any day.

shouldnt be too much of a problem. I plan on brushing my dog daily and take all precautions to avoid shedding thats necessary.

My cousin sent me this:
" The Sayreville Pet Adoption Center is closing December 31st and all the animals need to find homes! All adoptions in the month of December are free and your pet will come spayed/neutered, up to date with shots and vaccines, and dewormed. If you or anyone you know was even casually considering adopting a pet, maybe this is a sign that it's meant to be. " http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/sayreville.html Its mostly cats but meh, figured i'd pass this along

Its awesome that you want a husky. I have two females huskies who are 1.5 yrs old and love them. I wish you lived closer to me. I just found this male husky in my area the other day. Looks to be ~5 yrs old in very good health. Ive tried reaching out to find the owner but no luck
At the moment this big guy is at a neighbors house. I suppose my neighbor will keep him if I cant find the owner or a house for him. As a side note: When you do get your husky, make sure you purchase a "Furminator" brush. Best thing on the market and will keep fur from floating loosely around your house or back yard. |

mine came from South Carolina, I'll see if I can find the name of the breeder for you
![]() As for the Furminator, definitely get one (get the long haired jumbo version, it's red). Also get a Shark vacuum (its the best I've ever used with fur, way better than a Dyson) as you will have fur all over the place and it never ends no matter how much you brush, it just gets worse twice a year when the coat changes. edit: their site isn't working but it's http://www.ladatakennels.com/, Clinton, SC 864-923-0710
