Trusted a member to deliver a good item, but...

I responded to a classified on here for projector46 headlights.
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...722&highlight=

Thought they were a bit pricey but he said it came with the HID kit and were almost new. With almost 3,800 posts what could go wrong?

In texts he also confirmed they were the push-in and they were in almost new condition.

I got them today... :censor::ben::ben::ben::ben:
:cry:
Almost new? Maybe if you don't include a year of driving with them.
HID kit or angel eyes? Are you talking about the poorly glued in plastic rings? Where is the HID kit or anything other than just the headlights?

This really put a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered these because I had broken clips. Now I have to order another set.

and for $300+ shipping you could have gotten a brand new set with angel eyes already installed.

It is about $425-460 for the full package. Headlights, hid kit, decent angel eyes, and pre-installed. Which is what I thought they were since he said he paid about that. Instead he sent me these....

I put a dispute in paypal. Hopefully I do get it back.

They are second hand. Used. Don't buy anything second hand. Lesson learned.

I haven't had any trouble purchasing parts from other fanatics. I'd venture to say other fanatics feel the same way about purchasing things from me as well.

Just stinks, I do work hard for my money, like most. I trusted this person would be honest and of course he wasn't. Maybe next time I will go by according to what people have to say first.

To update, he has contacted me and might try to make good... somewhat. I didn't get the angel eyes or the HID kit, so if he sends that, I will retract my dispute and return $275. $25 because I have to order new corners now that screw in instead.

I hope this issue is resolved. Bad transactions only ruin the process.

He offered to send some angel eyes and an HID kit, since they weren't included, and I offered to give him $275 back since I would have to get other corner lights, but he wants me to cancel the dispute first. That I will not do! He should be lucky I would even agree with that since this should have been correct the first time around. I know he spent money on shipping so I do feel bad. He might just not have cared enough and guessed it was in good condition.

I would even let him have it all back if he came to get them. Otherwise, I just have some depo headlights worth like $80.
