I understand the SureFire is a great light (I was the first to recommend it in this tread) but I can NOT ignore the new China lights any longer!
So...I ordered two lights off ebay from a seller with great feedback. HOLY CRAP! I can not believe how bright and solid these lights are. I am DEAD SERIOUS. For a total of $50 shipped I got (2) flashlights, (4) batteries (18650 rechargeable lion) and a charger. The batteries and charger probably suck, but its a start. Each flashlight only uses 1 battery, so I will always have a spare for each. These lights are solid feeling and put out light that is unbelievable for the size and certainly the price. The key seems to be finding a flashlight with the CREE T6 LED specifically. I will post some info when I find it. This is NOT for Reedo or JonJon; this is for the common man who wants a bright and cheap flashlight.

Post a link if the seller has more on eBay. I could always use a few more lights.

I one up your online purchased lights with my school project made out of a DDM Tuning 35 watt HID kit, a projector assembly from a BMW 5 series from pick and pull, and a heavily modified Dewalt lithium battery pack.
Though including everything, it was more like a $1000 flashlight. Last edited by mkodama; 12-04-2012 at 06:43 PM. |

Make your own decisions. This light is tiny and is probably 5x brighter than my D cell Maglite LED! Item 200775943961 = $20 shipped with 2 batteries. (no charger in this auction.)

Glockman, you misspelled BMW in your sig.
Also, how much do people who buy these flashlights care about run time? Just curious because many of these super bright flashlights, have super short run times. Super short run times make the batteries close to useless for anything outdoors or daily use because the batteries will be dead in no time. |

I am testing my newest one right now. So far its has been on for 20 minutes full power on 1 of the rechargeable batteries. I am not saying they are best ever made, just an outstanding value IMO.

I really like my surefire fury defender I got. 500 lumens and built like a tank. Not that expensive either for a little over $100. Runs for 1.5 hours at 500 lumens.

I love Surefire. I've got 3 of them, haha. Not really necessary but I keep finding good deals on them locally and I can't pass them up.
If those are a little too expensive for your taste I also recommend Streamlight too. I have one of their flashlights and 2 TLR-1 weapon lights. They're built extremely solid and I've never had an issue with any of them.

Cool, nice to know i'm not alone. Every chance i get whenever i go to any store i want to know where the flashlight section Is, haha. My wife thinks it's a little weird, but if it gets me away from guns, she's for it. I have a Glock 17 4th gen, 1911 .45 with Wilson Combat grips and magazines, a crappy Mossberg 12 gauge mainly for the house, a .223 tactical bolt action rifle, and a 45-70 lever action that I've had sitting in the closet and haven't used. Anywho, here are two led lights I love -->
Yes, it's only a p14 but i love it. Very powerful. If you guys don't know much about Led Lenser, please read about them, they hold the Guinness world record for the best if not brightest flashlight. They're German, just like your Bimmer : ) And that's my Photon-Rex rechargeable 4-led keychain light. You like? |

I have several sure fires. A 6p. A g2 with a q5 led from deal extreme for 7$. An old polytac.
For an around the house or car light u can't beat an eBay solar force light. 13$ shipped without a bulb. I'll look for the seller if u guys want it. |

With some lithium batteries, you can literally attach them to a flashlight, turn it on, and without the electronic protection, the battery will expand and burst into flames. Same when you're charging. Last edited by mkodama; 12-05-2012 at 12:09 AM. |

wow, the exploding battery thing freaks me out.
The charger I got seems to have some electronics in it. Red light when charging Red/Green flashing when plugged in with no battery Green when finished charging I guess I need to look for some different batteries. The AW guy seems legit but expensive. Ok, after reading it seems the biggest problems are under/over charging and using more than 1 cell together. Thanks for the heads up JJ, I will look into this more. Jon Jon how long have you had your batteries so far?
