I work 2 blocks away from that subway station. Its crazy to think that this happened. Walking today thru the same area there was a larger police presence. Hopefully they catch the guy.

Sounds like self defense?

Dreads dude was begging the guy to leave him alone.
Makes me think the other guy wouldn't back away and caused dreads dude to defend himself

What part of "please let me alone" did the Chinese dude not understand?

Just saying

PS: OP wears women's sweaters

Heavily edited 5 seconds or so of video. Much more is being withheld than is shown.

I don't think the video proves much.

Photographer claims that he started flashing his camera to alert the conductor of what was happening instead of helping the guy actually get up

That is a good point.

I wonder how far ahead the subway driver can see ahead of the train and how long it takes to stop ?

Very different. This is a journalistic photo. There is nothing he can do to help the situation. What he did WAS help the situation, by bringing awareness. Without things like this, it would be hard for people around the world to see things the way they are. These shots generate millions in aid.

Once again, as I said, I'm pretty sure there is more to that video. I hope the whole thing is posted.

not saying the photographer was in the right, but no way to know what the cameraman or anyone could have done, just because they were close to him...

edit... what color was this guy?
agreed, I think it has more to do with the fact that it is a giant city, so people don't really act all that neighborly and keep to themselves.
