No severe damage as far as I can tell. Gonna take it to a shop so they can check it out and tell me if they're still okay to re-mount with new tires. But winter is almost here and was planning on throwing on a set of snows on the 67's anyway. So gonna wait until spring probably. Just sucks the tires/wheels were less than a year old. Another expense that I wasn't expecting unfortunately.

I ordered Drilled rotors and hawk pads.
Reasoning behind drilled as explained by one of the Head techs at BMW north america plant in NJ. When the brake pedal is applied the brake pads heat up and produce gasses because of the compound in the brake pads. Now when you go to step on the pedal again some of those gasses are trapped between which causes brake fade, with drilled rotors the gasses escape which helps you retain stopping power. As well as keeping the rotors cool so they dont warp. Anyway it was time for brakes anyway.

Mine is so used that I ripped the ugly worn out leather off, and the rubber beneath is in perfect condition, almost looks new, but the buttons are worn out, and I lost what little thickness was there. |

Let me know how that works out. I've been thinking about doing the same thing.

I fixed my slow coolant leak with an .80 cent o ring. The coolant was coming out of the Coolant Temp Sensor and a new o ring sealed it. Of course, I dropped it when I pulled the sensor out and it rolled around the splash guard which took about twenty minutes to retrieve. It's a good thing I can laugh at myself, I turned a two minute job into a forty minute job.

Drove it to school and back, then to the yacht harbor
I had to take the backroads to school though. The highway was a mess with the storm. It's now coated in road grime, tree droppings, and in need of a deep cleaning but we have more rain due. |
