Technically i am but i still wanted the clip on corners like i have but they sent the screw on type. Still trying to figure out why my high beam wont work on my driver side and my light out for the driver side. Assuming that one thing is causing both. Any input?

Reasoning behind drilled as explained by one of the Head techs at BMW north america plant in NJ.

When the brake pedal is applied the brake pads heat up and produce gasses because of the compound in the brake pads. Now when you go to step on the pedal again some of those gasses are trapped between which causes brake fade, with drilled rotors the gasses escape which helps you retain stopping power. As well as keeping the rotors cool so they dont warp.

Anyway it was time for brakes anyway.
Only racing pads create any amount of gas that could cause a problem. Street pads do not make gas. At least the drills will look cool.

My insurance covered it. I glanced at the bill though and it looked like $350.00.

CCV, DISA, ICV, Oil seperator and OFHG. I should say I made it through dis-assembly today. Added PS fluid flush to it after seeing the fluid was a nasty, smelly brown. Reminded me of when I raced karts as a kid and had to change the oil afterwards. Methanol mixed with oil produced almost the same smell.

6 hours for all of that? Frack!! I'm in for a total of 4 already. I even said "screw it" and broke some of the old plastic hoses.

What brand was the windshield?

I have to get mine done sometime, not sure if it'll pass inspection with the chunks and chips missing out of it.

Glad someone ball-parked the estimate.

Just gave her a nice new oil change .....the PO decided he wasn't going to change the filter...the perforated metal part around the outside of the filter literally fell apart in my hands pulling it out . Spent about 30 minutes cleaning the filter housing out till it was spotless.
