Okay yeah I found the other thread... I searched but I guess the genius site search hasn't yet linked "Game over" with "4 Series coupe".

I'm 100% with ZHP on this one, it's just odd. Thankfully the main problem areas (the bumpers) will likely be remedied with some sort of a sport package. I'm not feeling the side vent styling or new C-Pillar get up either though.

My Ride: gobbles oil like a B
what the F is BMW doing with cars these days?

Yes, the front end is much better looking than the existing F30 front end. But that ain't saying much.

Rear end looks like some one-off body shop attempt at making a custom bumper. What the F. Why did they have to F up the rear end like that now? that was really the only part of the F30 that looked nice, guess not so much anymore..

The pictures in the other thread are all very macro. Almost none of them show the full car, only one from the other merged thread shows the front or back in full.

It does not look nice.

Get your eyes checked.

The E92 was a knockout when it was released. This is... uh... I don't even know...

Change the front bumper and get rid of that "vent" on the side and we're in business. The F30 looks great IMO, they shouldn't have changed so much.

I agree, looks pretty dumb. but if you look at it from an engineering perspective, its pretty advanced. Just think about the difficulty in manufacturing that ugly rear bumper.

I do like the side profile of the car... just the awful bumpers... yuck!

I don't really like the flow of the F30 sedan from the front to the back. Both ends look good, but I don't think they belong on the same car 100% The back is- sorta soft and bland, and the front is anything but.

That is pretty sad.

As with every new BMW model, the previous generations owners/lovers/fan boys thrash the new design. I remember the majority of this forum hated the e9x and now they love or own it.

I yearn for a day when people who don't particularly like the bumpers on their new BMW will be able to go to an aftermarket supplier and buy a bumper that they like better.

If only. I can dream, though...can't I?

Looks like a baby 6 series.

Only things I don't like are the exhaust tips and fender vents.

I don't remember that much hate for the E92 styling. When it was released it was a showstopper.

Just for comparison here are the launch pictures of the E92:

The concept sets the tone for the car. No need to be patronizing.

I like the f30/2 MUCH better than the e90/2 visually.

Seriously tho, the e92 was a knock out when it came out, I'll give you that. Hell I loved it as well. But look at the body lines of this car. While I agree the bumpers are a bit excessive, and the fender vent i'm not too keen on, the rest of the car makes up for it. The e92 side by side to this is now boring. Cookie cutter design, and that whole era of the e60/e90/e92 was compared to the japanese styling, which I agree with partially.

This car (in the pictures at least) is chiseled, beefed up, aggressive, and holds all of the bmw queues that is needed to remain loyal to the brand. The rear bumper, I think, is an amazing evolution of the zhp bumper with a much more aggressive diffuser. It fits the car perfectly. The front bumper and side vent... yea, not crazy about it. But the rest of the car is just gorgeous on every level. I like the "angel" eyes that it has now, and the interior looks like it is from a car that probably has triple the price tag (however this is the individual interior, but still...)

Agreed. The E92 styling looks horrible to me. The E46 coupe was way, way better looking.

I like the F32 with the exception of the lower rear valance. I bet the M version of that car will look fantastic.

I agree about the interior, it's stunning. I think the rear bumper may be the worst part of the car though. On its own it looks fine, like in the picture from the other thread. Coupled with the car and I feel it is just so far from flowing in any way...

I didn't like the E60/E90 generation of BMWs generally but the E92 was and is the standout. I don't think the E92 was cookie cutter. It was a trend setter. The LCI E90 M3s look mean too, I'd put them as a close 2nd.

Edit: Never mind the front bumper is worse. They're in close competition though...

In real life I'm not really a fan of the F01 frontend but it can look clean in pictures
