My Ride: 2004 E46 325i
2004 325i sedan, black/tan, low miles, sport/premium/heat/bi-zenon, in VA DC MD area

A 2004 E46 325i sedan, 70,xxx miles, one of 2% of 325's with the SMG transmission option. I regularly get 28-30 mpg on pure highway miles and 24-27 on mixed city/hwy. She's in fantastic running condition.

I have a walk-around and a bunch of pictures up on a photobucket: http://s1072.beta.photobucket.com/us...n%20for%20sale

Black Sapphire Metallic body with Sand leather. The paint looks almost new still and, with the exception of some normal wear on the driver's seat, the interior is in wonderful condition. 60k major maintenance performed. I've also been conditioning the leather to bring back the original suppleness. It is the cleanest interior I've seen on an E46. I get compliments from everyone that gets in, shocked at how nice it is. The pictures I have up just don't do it justice.
  • Premium package
  • Sport package
  • Headed front seats
  • Auto-on/level headlights
  • Sport steering wheel
  • Rain sensor
  • BMW Assist

75% tread life left. I also have a full set of 16x7" style #43 rims if you want snow tires for the winter that we can discuss.

It'll also come with the original window sticker for that bit of nostalgia.

This car is nimble, sure-footed and confident. It is the most enjoyable car I've ever owned and the condition is outstanding for a 2004. I bought it because I worked 30 miles away and wanted to enjoy my drive and it makes the commute a fantastic breeze. I'm moving and won't be needing it where I'm headed, so I'd like to sell it and not have to haul the car across the country. So, you could say I'm motivated to sell.

The things to point out:
  • Rear-view mirror doesn't dim. This is more cosmetic than anything, doesn't bother me with the night driving but all the same.
  • Hairline crack in the front bumper cover. Have to get close to see it, but it's there. Guessing a PO didn't understand what going over speed bumps slowly means.
  • A few very minor scratches in the rear bumper. I live in the greater DC area, not everyone respects a beauty like this when parallel parking like they should. Bumper is fine and the touches are cosmetic.
  • Driver's wing mirror shows slight patina.
  • Passenger B pillar and the C pillar covers have a little upholstery sagging. I've tried to capture this in the pictures-the sag is minor but it is there.

UPDATE: Fixed the diff.

Looking for $10,900.

Distance shoppers are certainly welcome. If you're interested, you can call at 920-226-0973 or email mdlutze@gmail.com

Bump for a clean looking car. I was unaware that non m's came with smg in the US. Was this a special order?

Sent from my SGH-T989 using Bimmer App

Not a special order, but it was an expensive option so almost no one put them on the 325. They're more common on 330's, simply because it had more power if you were going to buy a track car and didn't want to spend for the M.

Thanks!

It's definitely the dilemma, though if it was a 330 the price wouldn't be where this one is :-).

I actually had a nice surprise when I picked it up from my shop yesterday. The 3.46 I put in has LSD guts. I bought it from 330iZHP on the forum here who'd indicated it was an open diff and I hadn't given it another thought. They went to put it in, turned one of the outputs and the other turned the same direction. So, fun times!

I'm realizing now how nice it is to not have a diff whining at you. Commuting the last few days has been a breath of noiseless fresh air.

I need to go play on some slippery surfaces first to confirm it's true, but, nope! :-) haha

Bump.

Price drop to $9,950. Can't seem to edit the original post now, but, yup, would really like to sell this. Someone make an offer.

Thanks!

I'd love to wait for what it's really worth, but grad school is starting to strain the wallet... someone's going to get a great deal, especially with the freshly refurbed LSD.
