You can get it programmed to have shift lights but only SMG from the factory has them

As you reach higher into the RPM range there are a series of lights that climb counterclockwise on the cluster, from orange to red, red being the highest RPM and telling you to shift

DCT and any other dual clutch system like PDK is way smoother as you say. However that's the problem I dislike with them- it doesn't feel as connected when you are shifting. SMG is so idiosyncratic in nature- closer to a manual in feel- it has a personality to it. It feels more raw and I can take that over any performance benefits.

I never mash from a dig, maybe about 75% throttle and that's where the wheels start to slip. Once you're moving, 100% is fine, you can even feel the vanos system working. It's not as prominent as a turbo, but you'll be all like, "V-Tech just kicked in bro!"

False, the LFA use the single clutch system because the car was 10 years in the making and the dual clutch system was still not complete and ready, they "settled" for the single clutch. If I can find the article I will post it, if they had to do over and the dual clutch system was ready it would be in the LFA.

For me personally, I would have thought that there wasn't a dual-clutch system that could handle the power at the time?

Still a Toyota.
Tried launch control yesterday. Safe to say I needed to change my pants after.

I like how it encourages spirited driving, since it's a dog at low RPMs and an animal when in the powerband.

Yeah, check out my troubleshooting guide. It's on here someplace. Read it and learn it, that way IF something ever happens you don't have to freak out about it being a $4000 repair. Most fixes are cheap. PM me if you ever have an issue and I'll try to help you out.
