ar25 in section one with borla catback is my current and favorite setup.

just perfect. If you just do the borla catback only it will sound like a p51 mustang. I highly recommend the ar25/ar20 silencer in section 1.

Status Gruppe Tuning. Their exhaust sounds great, and has a lot of configuration options to make it sound how you like.

Rogue el diablo would be your best choice to go in my opinion.

The muffler delete is laud and very high pitched. It's fine around town if you don't care about the drone but on the highway it's horrible

I have the Corsa header back exhaust and both the sound and quality are amazing...but that is a 330. My dad has a Dinan muffler and euro headers and cats on his m3 and it sounds perfect. Both volume and sound are spot on. Somewhat raspy but just the right amount for an inline 6.

I still don't get why anyone would pay for a massed produced section 2 and back.

Get headers, get the matching section IF it's needed, then go custom. Probably end up spending close to the same, but at least the sound is 100% what you wanted and created.
