Lube your Poly CABs before install

I found this info deep in a few strings---thought it would be good to have a post specific to it.

As a far-from-pro internet-trained gearhead, I wrongly assumed my Polyurethane CABs were plug and play. (Mine were from EAS)

2 weeks after install the creaking started and progressively got louder. Researched here and duh......grease is key.

Not a huge deal to do them on the car...The bracket on mine slid very easily off of the insert (slide it towards the rear of the car). Grease the outside of the insert and inside of the sleeve and you're good to go.

Probably should have been obvious....hopfully my error is someone's gain.

Most of them come with the grease. At least powerflex does. I haven't had any creaks or squeaks.

you'll find this info listed in depth on this thread on the install. you should use it on everything of the bushing that touches metal. many of us use the copper anti-seize

Does the grease ever wash off or otherwise come off over time? Is periodic re-greasing necessary for PU bushings?
