24 years military, retirement check, disability pay, plus 10 % of gross income invested over 24 years puts me at about 5800.00 a month. Fully retired at 43. Good enough for me! But it came at a price!

The business somewhat runs itself when you hire the right people. I enjoy my IT job, keeps my mind fresh. If it gets the point that I have to put more time in ND then I will step away from it.

$1300 per month, 26 years old, live alone in my own home (have mortgage) 02 supercharged M3, 02 325ci DD. 2000 4x4 cherokee (winter time vehicle) 04 yamaha R6.
Sometimes I don't eat, Sometimes I have no gas money, but my bills are paid and my credit score is perfect. Screw priorities, mine are perfect. |

Agreed, seven 12's is painful. Sounds like prison to me. But....it's not like you do that all month long. Probably 7 on 4 off or 7 on 7 off, I have lots of friends that do that in the oil industry up here. So it's not like you're bringing in $3100 x 4 each month. But still, you're doing ok. Nice work.

But I must admit it does get really boring sometimes! Lol that's just on out of town jobs though that we work 7 12's ( in town we work mon-fri ) not to bad.. Just gotta cash in on the out of town jobs..

To each their own. I personally wouldn't deal with the hours/travel for your job for twice the money. It's just not a lifestyle I want to live. I probably wouldn't have minded at your age though.
