Yea i made it in, hahahaha....it was great, and i see yours and Paper's had a great day also. And yea the rain has some ppl driving nervous... I think if i was to spit on the street ppl would start driving krazy so i keep away from the krazies.

Definitely next week but at this moment, I dunno if I'm gonna make it. The car died on me tonight while on the 405 freeway. Had to have it towed 30 miles to my parents's place. However, once I got it off the flatbed, she fired right up. It's got me really pissed off. No warning, just a sudden loss of RPM's and no matter how much I pushed on the gas pedal, she wasn't going anywhere. Even when I tried to start her up, nothing. My dad was talking about how his Caddie had similar circumstances and it turned out to be a very small, pinhole sized, leak in the fuel line. I'm wondering if it's the same thing. Here's to hoping that I can figure it out this weekend, if not later today.

Check your fuel filter to see if its clogged &
Run a check on your fuel pump . I remember
This use to happen to a friend , every so often
That he kept a 2/4 in his trunk , & when his car
Didn't start he use to hit the bottom of the gas
Tank a few times & bam like magic his BMW
Would start right up . Eventually he fixed the
Problem & bought a new fuel pump

I was up until 3am doing research on the problem and from what I've read, the fuel pump is a good candidate to be tested. I've also got a whine on start up, so I'll have to locate where that's coming from and fix whatever issue that is. Gotta love how **** comes together, all at once.

Well, car is running and kinda smooth. I've ordered a fuel filter and pump, so in a week, those will be swapped out. At the same time, I ordered a new water pump (one with metal fins) so that I can hopefully prevent a problem with the OEM pump. Now time to narrow down this squealing.

What kind of squealing is it ?

It sounds like a pulley or something in the front of the engine compartment.

If Im not mistaken there is a plastic pulley .
Check that 1 . Maybe also see if BMW changed
The part from plastic to metal . I know
BMW upgraded some of them plastic pulleys
Due to squealing after they are worn down .
Not sure if they made the change on your model
, but i know they did on others
