What question?

Why would any self-respecting Amurican want a high-paying job with great benefits?

Kill the unions and get your ass out there & work for free!

I paid for it when I bought my last 6 Chevrolet trucks. In a couple of years, I'll do it again.

Take Republicans for example. They've been consistently following a 50's era mentality for nearly seven decades.

They also consistently claim to be the party of fiscal responsibility, despite the fact that they consistently do the opposite.

That's what happens when you consistently reference Reagan.

Ah, true fiscal responsibly is taking from one American and giving to another. Just heard 47.7 million Americans are on food stamps, all time record.

I believe the figure is closer to 46 million. Regardless, still a staggering number.

We're a Christian Nation based on Christian Values from our Christian Founding Fathers. We give to those less fortunate. But Americans are bad Christians. So the Government, per the will of the Founding Fathers, is forcing people to help those less fortunate.

I don't see why anyone would complain. It's what Jesus would want.

Jesus, bro. Jesus.

I thought we were an athiest nation founded on atheistic principles by a bunch of religion-hating atheists?

You thought wrong. Ask Chase. He loves Jesus all up in his Government.

Jesus would have wanted you to give of your own free will, and then he would have given you that "I'm very disappointed" look until you gave.

Jesus wouldn't have rummaged through your pockets to give stuff out.

Deuteronomy 15:11
There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

Leviticus 19:10
Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.

Any good Christian wouldn't mind see the Government carry out the will of God. Plus it guarantees them a spot in Heaven.

Jesus wasn't a part of either of those books. And for Christians, works don't get you to heaven.

For Jews, now, forced charity would be good. But is it really charity if someone makes you do it?

I wasn't aware that Christians didn't obey the commandments of God.

Be openhanded and don't go through your vineyards twice is not the same as let poor people rifle through your pockets and take what they want.

God gave us free will. If its a sin to not split my paycheck with the homeless person on the corner where I turn to go to work, then I'll just have to pay for it in the afterlife.

Finally, I wouldn't presume to legislate based on the morality of a sector of the populace.
