For me, the Iphone, but that is just because the ease of use between my phone and my MBP. And let me say I am no fanboy, the Iphone is far from perfect, it's actually quite boring compared to the GS3.

I have to LOL at the negative iPhone comments. Its like those who bash something that they don't own. Or realize everything is not for you. I was having a talk with an IT guy and he didn't know all the stuff that come with an iPhone. Sure you can do some things on an Samsung or any droid, but if you list everything you will find that the iPhone does more.

As for the call quality... this goes back to the cell phone companies. Any Apple user or person that really works on computers knows that Apple has had a long history with Verizon and AT&T and Comcast with their wi-fi connection. Its a simple fix in which the cable and mobile companies refuse to change. Sad but true.

back to the OP. Pick the one that has the features you like to use. I use the iPhone because it's the only phone that works with my recording software and my camera software. Oh and the only phone which I can retrieve my Mac mail nicely. Oh and with the Apple TV ..gaming is BIGGER!

iPhone:

Incredible selection in the app store/itunes
Support is available at any Apple Store
Unbeatable aesthetics
Seamless integration with the rest of Apple's ecosystem

Android Phone:

Larger screens
customization
removable battery (you'll need it if you overclock)
larger selection of models

I'm an iPhone user. Because I use my iPhone (and iPad and numerous other Apple products) every single day, I just want it to work and no one can beat Apple in this regard. On top of that the devices are aesthetically pleasing which I enjoy.

I am going to give the Android OS the nod as far as the app stores are concerned.

Preemptively defending yourself as a non-fan of Apple. Due to public opinion, this is what it has come to. You are a total outcast if you use Apple products bro, that was so 2011 bro.

Regarding swype? That may be your opinion- but even among objective tech sites, nary one agrees with you.

If Nav is important to you, then GS3, it has a better nav and a nice screen to stare at while using it. Iphone 5 is a just stretch 3.5" screen, should had made it a big wider. The battery life is comparable, I go a day and a half with moderate use with my GS3. If you surf and watch movies a lot then there is no question, GS3 is better. I rarely had to zoom in like I did when I had an iphone. Itune drives me nuts, I prefer drag and drop. Iphone is a nice phone if you like simplicity.

Yes- and the S3 has a stretch of a 4.5" screen. What gives? It's all in the formatting. I struggle to find objective measures in your iPhone slamming posts.

No, this really has nothing to do with Swype.

I vote GS3. My wife has the I5 and I don't care for it, but that shouldn't matter to you...go try them out and you'll have it figured out in 5-10 minutes.

when it comes to apps, iOS > android.

i have both, iphone 5 and nexus 7. im actually thinking of selling my nexus 7 for an ipad mini because of the frustration of apps not being available or just simply not working.

plus most if not all apps look better in iOS.

Personally, what's important to me is security. The Galaxy S III and the IPhone5 will pretty much do the same things (excluding maps). But the security on any phone using the android OS has been proven to be weak. Signals can be intercepted, data can be retrieved even when following all manufacturers instructions on how to secure or wipe the memory have been followed. IPhone on the other hand has rock solid security, no issues what so ever.

Perhaps you should stop responding. It's a no-win for you here. :dunno:
